Attention all Daytona Mustang Club Members! Make plans to cruise to Raabe Racing next Saturday, July 26, 2008 10:00 am This Is the most important event ever for Mustang owners in Daytona Beach. Not all Mustang owners race, or want to race, or care anything at all about competition. But we are not the Buick Club, or the Plymouth Club (apologies to Buick and Plymouth owners), because Mustangs are all about performance. Even if you only floor the gas pedal when merging onto the Interstate or passing on that two-lane road, you know what we have that other drivers don’t have. Performance! And who wouldn’t like to have just a little more of that performance? Or a lot more ? Or how about just a chance to talk to experts about what others are doing that works for them and might work for you? Even if you are perfectly happy with your ‘Stang now, this is a chance to at least learn about re-programming your chip, or getting some cold air to your engine. Something to think about in the future, maybe. Raabe Racing is not another tuner shop, but a NASCAR-level facility about the size of a WalMart that can and build cars from scratch. Raabe is hosting an open house for Daytona Mustang Club and opening their engine, drive-train and chassis shops for our members. Experts will be there to answer our questions about anything from our daily drivers to full-on racing cars. We probably will not have this chance again. As an added attraction, the Raabe chassis dynamometer will be set up to measure real rear-wheel horsepower at the deeply discounted rate of only $40.00 for two dyno pulls. Beautiful trophies will be awarded to those who dyno their cars. This is a candy store for all Mustang drivers. Even if you like yours box-stock, come on down to see what others are doing.
